I love my new camera...Olympus Epl1...It is a great point and shoot camera with a large sensor..I bought an adapter for it that allows me to attach my Nikon lenses. Here is a photo of a rose I took with my Nikon 50mm1.8 lens.. I used Topaz Software to give it a painterly effect..The soft background is created by the Nikon 50mm lens. (Click to enlarge)
Information on what I am doing and some information on digital photography technique.

Bobcat Cubs
Two weeks ago I was taking a walk and spotted a mother bobcat and her cubs..Since I almost always have a camera with me I captured a few photos...I went back 10 times and only got two opportunities to photograph them....Here are three of the best photographs...They are cute and their behavior is very similar to house cats..
Can't get enough poppies
This year May is basically the end of the poppies, with green background grass. Here are a couple of the last ones I photographed, with a soft painterly effect: (click to enlarge)

Corel Painter Essentials 4 to Photoshop
I took my grandson's senior portrait and did a painting in Corel Painter Essentials 4.
.Then I took the finished portait and opened it in Photoshop Elements 7 and added a duplicate layer....Then I opened Topaz Simplify and selected the wood carve preset and got this effect:
Then in the layers pallet you click on opacity and set it to 50% and you get this effect:
If you set the opacity a little lower, this is what happens:

Some Cameras like the Nikon D200, D300 and D3 can do multiple exposures. However, If you have Adobe Photoshop, you can do multiple exposures with any camera...Here is Tony Sweet's video, on u tube, to show you how its done..

ipod 4 Photography fun
I bought two items to play with….one is a Apple Ipod 4 and the other is a Motorola Droid-x cell phone…I have been having a blast with both…The ipod4 has a camera that takes ½ megapixel photographs… I can import other size photo and use the software in the Ipod for special effects.. I downloaded an app from the Apple store called Hipstamatic…it cost $1.99..I am having fun with it. I take the photographs I make with it and put them in Photoshop. Then I give them a little Topaz Adjust and Simplify.... Here is a photo of my brother's dog , waiting for my brother to come out of the store.(The Square format is fun.)
I have purchased a few apps from apple for my ipod4..they will also work for an Iphone. Another app I got last week is “AvgCamPro.” This application takes multiple exposures of 2-32 exposures then combines them into a single photograph....Here are a few sample of this technique after some Adobe Photoshop work..These are multiple exposures of Poppies:
Here is one of a pink blossomed tree in my Son's backyard:
