Syracuse, Sicily,Italy

The Cruise ship entered the port in Syracuse, Italy..It was an interesting old town..Here are some photographs to give you an idea of what it is like in Syracruse. These benchs border the port harbor.

Taormina,Sicily, Italy

Our next port stop was in Taormina, Sicily... We took a cab up to the town area. Here are some photos I took while walking around town:

Sorrento, Italy

Sorrento is a beautiful town with ferry's and roads that lead to a lot of other nice places like the Amalfi coast.

Here is a photograph taken from the cruise ship while we were entering the Sorrento harbor:

Cruising Sicily in Italy

We took the train from Florence to Civitavecchia to board the cruise ship 
Azamara Quest


On the way to the cruise ship I spotted this statue on the beach

Florence, Italy

We were only in Florence, Italy for a day and a half..and it rained most of the time... We grabbed our umbrellas and walked around town.. Here are some photographs of some of the things that interested me about the town and its people... People waiting for the Catholic church to open:

This elderly Italian gentleman  trying to start his scooter ...All of a sudden he took off down the street.
