Capitola by the sea

It was real hot in Morgan Hill so we went over the hill to Capitola.. It was a beautiful day. While walking down the street I spotted this Mannikin in the window. Thought it would make an interesting photograph:

I took a pano photograph of the beach front motel , where my mother used to take us, for a month every year...Capitola was a fun place to spend time.. we played in the ocean and on the river..

After Capitola we went down to the yacht harbor in Santa Cruz.

It was a nice way to spend the day away from the heat of Morgan Hill.

Coit Tower in San Francisco

We went to see Coit Tower... I hadn't been there since I was in high school..just a few years ago..
Here is a photograph of the outside of the building:

Inside the building there are many murals, painted by local artists, depicting the history of San Francisco...

We went up to the top of the Tower and I took a couple of panorama's to show what the view is like from the top.

AT&T Giants Stadium

My Girlfriend took me to see the Giants stadium... I found it interesting.. San Francisco has sure changed compared to when I used to go to camera stores in the early 80's..The whole area has been
re-developed and is beautiful.

There is a statue of Willy Mays in front of the entrance:

And there is a marina right behind the ball park:

Here is an example of the new developments in the area:

Here come the fans to see the game:

Fort Point and Golden Gate Bridge

Took a hike down to Fort Point, at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge...
Here are a couple of photographs taken along the way:

Fort Point is in the second photograph ,under the bridge, on the left..Went into the Fort and climbed stairs to the various floors..

The below photograph of the blue door is an example of the interior of the building..Great photography opportunities..

Here is a Sailboat photograph I took later in the afternoon:

It was a beautiful day in San Francisco, Ca.

How to antique a sailboat photograph

The first weekend of the month I went to San Francisco for 3 days..One day was spent at Fort Point and the Marina..I took a photo of a Sailboat coming back into port with my Panasonic point and shoot camera. I cropped it into a Square Format photo :

I uploaded the photo into my IPad and ran an Autopainter Van Gough effect to come up with the following:
Then I put the original photo and the above photo into the Blender app and masked out the sails so they wouldn't have the painter effect... Then I put the photo into Pic Grunge to add a more antique look and frame..Signed the photo with the Impression app :
Next time I would like to find a large sailboat with large masts and sails...Fun
