Early days annual display at San Juan Bautista State Park and Mission
I found out that they were having an early days celebration on June 25th and 26th of this year. It was held at the State Park , which includes most of the property that surrounds the mission. It includes admission to all the museums, stables, etc.. It costs $3.00 for a ticket ..well worth it..Everything is set up like in was in the 1800's . There is a covered wagon and various tent occupants.. Here are some photos..Many of the photos I changed to make them look like they were taken in the 1800's. The first photos are from the first day, June 25th 2011.
San Juan Bautista Mission Graveyard
Every time I go to the San Juan Bautista Mission, I have to photograph the graveyard on the side of the church... I think it is where they buried the help..(Indians) just kidding..here are some photos I took in June 2011.

Poppies again
On the way home from the bobcat shoot I took some photographs of poppies...I didn't like them so I made a photoshop multiple exposure out of them..here it is:
I wasn't particularly excited about that so I made a painterly image out of it:
Much better..now I thought how about adding some poppies on top of the painterly image, so I found some in my poppies file:
I added these poppies to my painterly multiple exposure ....(Click to see larger)
Now I am going to go out and visit some friends....

Searching for Bobcats this morning
Bright and early this morning, I was out looking for Bobcats...No such luck..While waiting for a bobcat, I took a photograph of the trees and grass in the early morning light.. It was a hand held High Dynamic Range photograph.. Here is the end result:
As I was looking at this photograph on my computer, I thought why not put a Bobcat in the photograph..In my files, I have at least 250 Bobcat photographs...So I found one I liked and had lots of fun using photoshop.....to shall we say "put him in the picture." Here is my first attempt:
Somebody said the bobcat is a little larger than real life...What do you expect for a first attempt?

Vineyard with flowers
Last Saturday, on my way to Hollister, I passed a vineyard on the corner of Day Rd and Watsonville rd..I immediately stopped and got my two cameras out...What a site! Beautiful flowers growing between the grape vines...Since the Vineyard was closed, I had to take these photographs through a chain link fence..here are a few samples:
Egrets at Chesbro dam
My friend Lance came down to visit and talk about photography.. We agreed to go on a photo shoot together at 6:00pm....At that time of the night, Uvas rd is usually pretty photogenic...We turned and drove along the right side of Chesbro dam..Was I suprised to see a whole nest of Egrets...needless to say, we took a lot of photographs....I was excited and just kept taking photographs until it was dark....here are a few:
