I had a fun weekend

My brother called me and said that our friend Vinnie wanted to take a portrait, with his dog, for xmas cards..I went to his home on Saturday morning and took a few portraits...Here is the one he chose:

As I was leaving I noticed a boxing poster of Vinnie when he was a professional Boxer ( over 50yrs ago).. I convinced him to pose alongside the poster..It really came out nice..Another fun day.

Fall is my favorite time of the year

I love color in my photographs so Fall is one of my favorite times of the year... The other day while driving home I passed a vineyard that was partially back-lit by the sun... I had to turn around and take some photographs with my "carry all the time" point and shoot camera. Here are some photographs taken through the fence.(click to view larger)

The last photograph is a panorama of 3 images put together in Arcsoft panorama maker 4. Love those clouds!

Deer are plentiful at Thousand Trails

Yesterday a friend of mine told me he saw a big Buck Deer at the entrance of the camp ground... I grabbed my cameras and went to find him. There he was just waiting for me.lol  (click to view larger)

Then he posed for me

And gave me that look

As he headed for the Ranger Station

The Buck ended up on the lawn with another deer.. this is how the photograph looked un-retouched.

I opened Photoshop cs4 and proceded to hide what I didn't want in the photograph.
Then I made a painting with Corel Painter Essentials 4 software program.

Nice way to end a day.

A Red-Tailed Hawk comes to visit and bathe

The other day I looked out my window and saw a Red Tailed Hawk on the cattle watering tank. Then he turned around and looked at the water.(click to view larger)

He decided to take a bath

When he was through, he jumped out and left
Very exciting morning

First Blog post

Hi  this is my first Blog post...I read a lot of Blog's and thought it might be fun to have my own Blog.
I am a full-time Rv'er and I live, most of the time, at Thousand Trails RV Resorts and Campgrounds.

In the last month I have had quite a few photography opportunities to capture
the wildlife at Thousand Trails.. Most of the time I take my photographs with point and shoot digital cameras, otherwise known as Bridge Cameras. I have been using a Sony H2 (6 megapixel) and my new Panasonic FZ35 (10 Megapixel). Sometimes I bring my Nikon D80 DSLR, especially if it is late in the day and I will have to increase the ISO to 800 or higher..(click photo to view larger)

My first photo is a gray squirrel on my picnic table.

Then he jumped up into a tree
